What do you see?

As little children, we dream big, every little child wants to grow up to be an important person. Be it a heroic cartoon character such as superman, a professional such as an engineer, a doctor, lawyer, or some other public figure such as the president or a pastor.
No child desires to be anything less than important, influential and respected. But it turns out that as we grow older, the realities of life begin to wear our big dreams out. We no longer desire to be superman because we know it is not possible to fly, our experiences with all that concerns university education, from entrance examinations to admission through graduation may make us forgo our dreams of being professionals, we also may begin to see politics as a game reserved only for the dirty, deadly and dreadful while the lifestyle of a pastor may seem just too boring and tasking for us.
Really the major difference between our childhood and adulthood is what we see, what we decide to pay attention to. A major difference between a child and an adult may be that children pay attention to the positive sides of life while adults pay attention to the negative sides of life. What do you see?
As much as it is not wise to live like there are no worries, it is more foolish to live worrying only about the many obstacles we face and not seeing how we can achieve great things even amidst the storm. To achieve success in any wise, you have to see yourself succeeding first, like the computer acronym goes, what you see is what you get (WYSIWYG).
Of course, it isn’t just enough to see positively, no matter how great your dreams and aspirations are, nothing comes to be until you take a step in the right direction i.e. taking the right action, informed by adequate planning.
Now is the time to see as children, to dwell on the many ways by which greatness can be achieved. The time to see the life of impact, fame, excellence and wealth. The time to see the career of our dreams, the houses of our dreams, the family of your dreams etc.
And like God told Joshua in the Holy bible, “ ...every place that the soul of your feet shall tread upon, to you have I given it...”. You and I are only limited by how far we can go in seeing, in planning and in acting.
